Hiya lovelies!
Before I get started on this post, I want to apologise for the delay in writing it. If you follow me on my social media, you may be aware that I have temporarily moved out of my home whilst we are getting an extension done and the last few days have been pretty hectic trying to settle in with the in-laws. After all there are 5 of us!
Anyway, let’s get back to this post! I was soooo excited to receive this hamper from Najma Foods. Can you believe I WON a giveaway on Instagram and also WON 2 tickets to the London Halal Food Festival, how amazing is that?!! I’ve never been before but I am so looking forward to that – Najma Foods THANK YOU!
I normally buy the Najma wafer thin turkey slices, me and my 7 year old are obsessed with them! It was nice to see so many packs off our favourite product plus lots of new ones to try.
I’ve tried some of the products already and they far exceeded my expectations! Syns wise they’re quite good too.
I’ve used the turkey slices in sandwiches, salads and made these delicious Turkey & Egg cups which are perfect for a snack! Click here for the recipe
My daughters made a pizza using the Spanish Chorizo which they loved! The pizza wasn’t a SW friendly recipe but you can make it healthier by using a Weight Watchers wrap (healthy extra B choice) and spread passata with mixed herbs over it before adding your favourite toppings plus your cheese allowance.
The sliced chorizo works out at 11 syns for the whole pack and the roll is 31.5 syns! You can get 32 thin slices out of it so you can count each slice as 1 syn which is not bad at all!
I found the chicken chunks so handy to use in omelettes and salads. Both the original chicken chunks and the BBQ chicken chunks are Free.
The Pancetta Smoked Turkey I used in Macaroni Cheese and it added a great flavour and texture to it. The 100g pack is 4.5 syns.
I was also sent the chicken liver pate (25g is 4 syns) but I haven’t yet tried it. I am kind of scared to try liver to be honest but will give it a go! I am thinking the best way to eat it will be with some crispbread as my healthy extra B choice. Else my husband will probably scoff the lot!
I will certainly be buying some of the Najma products I’ve never tried before, and continue to buy the ones we already love. Go out, buy some, try some and let me know what you think!
Najma Foods really do take the stress out of cooking. You can find their products at most large retailers. See their website www.najmafoods.co.uk for more information.
